Since the pups have been papped quite a lot this week (you know with Halloween and everything) they became worried that you would miss seeing them in their natural state. So they cleverly waited until they were all at their scruffiest and took some selfies for us… Lovely! Thanks guys, and thank DOG for Black and White!

We are delighted to join in with the Halloween Spooktacular blog hop! We’ve been having lots of fun and Mum has been taking lots of pictures (as per usual)… here are the spoils.
That giant orange friend we were introduced to met his demise yesterday. Mum stuck knives and pins in him and said some words that turned the air blue. She said she has never carved a pumpkin before and this was her first attempt. We totally believe her because this is what it ended up looking like! We weren’t really sad about him meeting his end though, because he smelled soooo good!
Then we moved onto things that were much better looking…
That’s us! Mum muttered something about photo quality and light, because she is so unorganised it was nearly dark out by the time we posed for these. But anyway, we think it doesn’t really matter and you’ll get the message.
Ellie makes a great witch, she doesn’t really need a costume but mum put one on her anyway!
The trouble is her hat always slips over her eyes, and when that happens it makes her sleepy. She wondered if this would be spooky enough in a Pirate-Witch kinda way. It didn’t really work but she wasn’t giving it up.
Next up is Myfie, we call him the Great FrankenMyf! Yeah his costume is a bit of a mish-mash so he ended up as a sort of Frankenstein-come-wizard type dude…
He’s pretty happy with himself still, he says the spookiest thing about the whole event is how devilishly handsome he is anyway! (…yeah whatever dude)
Millie is the cheeky little witch she always is, just with more colour! She didn’t really want to have her photographs taken, she was too busy sashaying around in her costume… until she saw us having ours taken and thought there might be some treats involved.
She was all smiles then… Kinda!

The clocks went back here today in the UK (I realise that they don’t for you US and Canada folks at least, until next weekend) and in honour of that, we decided to turn back time ourselves and look at the years gone by.
Here’s Myfie when he was just a wee puppy. He loved baths back then (I have no idea what happened) and he loved laying in the orange glow of the fire… some things don’t change at least.
When Ellie joined us, Myfie was still a puppy but he looked SO much bigger than her, it threw us a bit I think. In reality there is only six months between them.
Ellie has always looked the picture of innocence and she has always chosen the strangest of places to sleep…
But underneath it all she’s a little tomboy that likes nothing better than being outside and getting dirty.
Both pups were adults by the time Millie arrived though, I can see now where she got her tips from.
Inside this ball of fur beats the heart of a rebel.
Doesn’t time fly?

Firstly, I would like to apologise for not being around much this week. The truth is the last couple have been mega(does anybody say that word anymore?) busy and stressful. Some of you may know I have been working hard to get my little shop launched… and it’s been absolutely terrifying! HA.
I am nowhere near the excited and comfortable phase yet, but I hope that will come with confidence and time.
Earlier in the week I announced the winning name for the collar-naming competition I had. Here it is:

Then on Wednesday, October 1st I launched my actual shop over on Etsy!

I was so lucky that within the first hour of announcing the shop open, I received my very first online order.
I do have plans already buzzing around my head for lots of new products and I won’t JUST be selling on Etsy, but… one step at a time, one paw in front of the other, right?
The pups have been an amazing comfort throughout this process, bless their furry little hearts and they make an appearance over there too, in their tester gear. It would be rude not to, wouldn’t it?
I just wanted to thank everybody here for their support and encouragement. I will try to keep you all updated, but the most important thing is… We’ll be back with more pup pics swifter than the wag of Millie’s tail! (which is really fast btw 😉 )
So erm… a while back now (so far back I got repetitive strain injury looking for it) the lovely, lovely Bacon shared the ‘One Lovely Blog” award with us. We definitely (notice how I say ‘we’ when I want to share some of the blame/shame/other?) get far more excited than we probably should do when getting awards, but we love them so! even if we do take MUCH longer than we should to actually write about it. So this brightened our month… huge thanks to our lovable piggy friend.

7 facts about us!
OK, so I apologise in advance if you know of these already! We may well have posted about some before, I would appreciate you pretending that we hadn’t though 😉
1/ I have to tell the pups I am ‘going to the shops’ whenever I go somewhere without them, or they try to come with me. However, if I don’t come back with any bags I am automatically in trouble.
2/Whenever one of goes out, Myfie will fetch that persons shoe/slipper to another one of us… we have no idea why, but he seems to think it’s funny.
3/ Myfie also loves to be stroked with your feet… He’ll back up to you so you can rub them on his rump! I think we have a little foot fetishist on our hands.
4/ Ellie is the sweetest and most timid, but she is also the LOUDEST. She sometimes barks so loud that she chokes herself!
5/ One of Ellie’s favourite things in the world is to play with balloons (with me, of course). She cannot get enough of them, and what makes it more special is that whenever the other two see them they scarper. This means she gets one-on-one fun time too… bliss!
6/ All the pups do very well at ‘talking’ to me but I have been trying to get Millie to do this since I saw it
… she refuses, but I know she could if she wanted to. She makes all the right noises just not in the right order!
7/ When Millie was a baby I was concerned she would never be able to wag her tail. It just never moved and I thought maybe it was curled too tightly or something. Turns out she just has an odd sense of humour and now her tail wags furiously… particularly if she or the others are in trouble!
